Violet Pauline Onstott, 100, of Hicksville, willingly accepted death when she passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Hickory Creek of Hicksville.

She was born on September 16, 1912 in Mark Center, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry and Lizzie (Rhodes) Onstott.

She was a graduate of Hicksville High School.

Violet had lived in Hicksville since she was a small child. She worked at the Hicksville Five & Dime store for (40) years.

She was an avid writer. Violet had many poems published in a Christian magazine.

She was a charter member of Assembly of God Church, Hicksville. She attended Central Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Lost Creek Emmanuel Church. Violet is survived by cousins and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Violet will be laid to rest in Colby Cemetery, Mark Township.

Memorials may be made to Central Church Youth Missions or Lost Creek Emmanuel Missionary Church Youth Ministry.
