Mary E. Nelson, 62, of Hicksville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her home.

She was born on January 31, 1950 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Howard and Betty (Simm) Newberry.

She was a 1968 graduate of Linden High School in Michigan.

On March 6, 1999 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Nelson and he survives.

Mary was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, crafting and sewing.

Mary is also survived by 2 daughters-Kim (Sam) Forster, Becky Nelson; four grandchildren- Adriana, Sophia, Kaitlyn, Arden; a step granddaughter-Reba; a sister- Marsha (Al-deceased) Spear, a brother Craig (Janice) Newberry; three sisters-in-law- Joan Nelson, Norma (Larry) Cuevas, Marion (Ron-deceased) Stellar; brother-in-law Phil (Laura) Nelson and many nieces and nephews that loved her and will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by a brother Rex Newberry.

At Mary’s request, the will be no services. A private family burial will take place at Forest Home Cemetery.
